On Monday, March 17th, Ember Lunde and Sylvia Grenier represented Bottineau County at the North Dakota State Spelling Bee held in Bismarck. Both young women did Bottineau Public School proud by first out spelling many participants at the County level to qualify for the State competition. 100 top spellers from across the state competed in a written round to start the day. Ember Lunde came out of the written round to join 25 other finalists in the Oral Spelldown portion of the competition. Ember came away with a 4th place finish overall! This is exceptional and we are so proud. Please congratulate both young women, should you see them, on a job well done! (Photo credit: Apryl Mawby)
